Washington, D.C. Auto Show TV Special to Air May 15

While the pandemic led to the unfortunate cancellation of the 2021 Washington, D.C. Auto Show, WANADA has partnered with NBC 4 and its sister networks to give the region’s auto enthusiasts a sample of the exciting cutting-edge vehicles that will be on display when the show returns in 2022. The Washington, D.C. Auto Show will be airing a TV special in mid-May, with several airings throughout the weekend of May 15.

The Auto Show special will air on NBC 4 at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 15. It will also run twice on Telemundo 44, at 6 a.m. on both May 15 and Sunday, May 16; and on NBC Sports Washington at 11 a.m. on May 15 and 11:30 a.m. on May 16. The TV special will be hosted by Kimatni Rawlins of Automotive Rhythms, the organization that puts together the show’s ever-popular ART-of-Motion exhibit.

The television special will be filmed at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, and will feature several automakers, including Acura, General Motors, Hyundai, Lexus, Nissan, Toyota, and Volvo.

There are a limited amount of 30-second units available in the TV Special on a first-come, first-served basis. For any dealerships interested in purchasing a 30-second television spot in the special, please contact Bob Storin at rs@wanada.org.
