WANADA Annual Lunch Speakers May Not Be Clairvoyant, But Last Year, James Carville Called It Right!

James Carville, political commentator of note, who, along with his wife and fellow commentator, Mary Matalin, spoke at last year′s Annual Lunch of WANADA members and mystified attendees by predicting that none of the likely field of Democrat candidates for president lining up in the Fall of 2007 would likely get the nomination.

″I believe there is a Democrat out there that no one is talking much about who will come forward and get the nomination next year,″ Carville said.

While Mr. Carville didn′t mention anyone by name, who was thinking in November 2007 that the junior senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, would be the Democrat candidate for president, let alone the one to win the election? Obviously, Sen. Obama was thinking about it, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Mr. Carville never claimed to be clairvoyant, but obviously he′s pretty good at his craft to have said what he said one year ago at WANADA′s Annual Meeting!
