Tesla opens in DC
Tesla Motors has signed a five-year showroom lease at 1050 K Street, in the heart of Downtown Washington DCs central business district. The Palo Alto, California based electric automobile maker is the first permitted to open an automobile showroom and servicing center in the city.
Tesla currently offers only its EV Roadster for sale, but will introduce a lower priced sedan later this year. Tesla stores are designed on the Apple Store model such that shopping for a vehicle is very much a customer hands on, customized experience. Teslas downtown DC showroom is now open for business.
