Staff and volunteer leaders from state, metro and regional dealer associations from across the U.S. and Canada came together at the NADA Convention last week to interface with NADA leadership and share ideas among themselves on national, state and local dealer association programming.
As is always the case at the annual meeting of the Automotive Trade Association Executives (ATAE), the national dealer government and industry relations agendas were discussed and evaluated. Break out sessions drilled down on state level legislative and regulatory matters along with dealer association training initiatives, promotional activities and dealer group services.
ATAE associations, including WANADA, were recognized by NADA for attaining DEAC fundraising goals(see article below) and for assisting NADA membership growth and development. The ATAE organization acts as an invaluable rallying point for the national dealer agenda and provides an essential network for improved dealer association management.
WANADA salutes outgoing ATAE President John Lyboldt, Rochester Auto Dealers, on a job well done and wishes godspeed to incoming President Gary Thomas of the Iowa Auto Dealers Association, said WANADA CEO Gerard Murphy.
