Mel Martinez, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, became the fifth high-level member of the Bush administration to address NADA in the past year. Martinez spoke to the NADA Executive Committee at its first meeting of the year in March, saying, Housing and autos are continuing to keep this country’s economy going. With MartinezĂȘ address, NADA Chairman Alan Starling said, We are setting a new standard for the presence of the auto dealer in Washington.
