Each year dealer associations that service NADAês 58 director districts negotiate fundraising goals for the Dealer Election Action Committee (DEAC), and every year in recent memory, WANADA has met its goal for Metropolitan Washington and then some.
DEAC fundraising for 2005 was no exception. In fact, WANADA raised 195% of its goal, with Washington area dealers paying in $42,300 to DEAC. Additionally, there were 16 Presidents Club members who reached this status by initially contributing $5,000, though not necessarily in one year.
DEACês success rate is impressive, raising more than $2.1 million in 2005 and backing winners of US House and Senate races 92% of the time. And because DEAC is connected organizationally to NADA, 100% of all funds raised goes to candidate races for Congress.
WANADA salutes its DEAC team led by Metro Washington NADA Director Geoff Pohanka and WANADA dealer leaders Dennis Rippeon and Jack Fitzgerald for a job well done in ê05. WANADA and other dealerorganizations making or exceeding fundraising goals were recognized by NADA leadership at the NADA Convention.
