WANADA kindred-line member CBM (Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, P.C.) recognized its 100th anniversary with a festive celebration the evening of Wednesday, October 20. Nearly 150 guests arrived at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase to help the growing accounting and advisory firm celebrate this significant achievement.
Attendees relaxed in a leisurely environment of strolling through several rooms at the club, enjoying drinks, hors d’oeuvres and stimulating conversation as well as entertainment from talented opera singers from the Kennedy Center’s Cafritz Young Artists of Washington National Opera. CBM Managing Partner Dan Weaver and Chairman Pete Reilly discussed points from the firm’s tenured past as well as aspirations for another 100 years of serving clients up and down the East Coast. Each guest received, as a parting gift, a bottle of prosecco and a copy of the firm’s new centennial publication, which showcases the history of CBM alongside the history of events in Washington, DC that had a national or international impact.
CBM’s dealership group likes to say they’ve served our industry since the Model T was in production, and they certainly have supported the success of many WANADA members. We look forward to our ongoing partnership with CBM and wish them the best on their 100th anniversary.
