AIADA’S Automotive Congress to be Held May 21-22

Billed as the largest grassroots lobbying event in the automotive industry, the 25th Annual American International Automotive Congress will be held May 21-22 at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C. Sponsored by the AIADA, the Automotive Congress brings together nearly 800 automobile dealers and industry executives to lobby Congress on legislation impacting their businesses.

Priority issues for 2002 will include the permanent repeal of the death tax, energy/fuel legislation and automotive trade. Top political speakers will discuss the current legislative climate and what it means for dealers. Auto industry leaders will share their insights on current trends and where the business is headed. The All-Star Dealer Awards, a gala evening event sponsored by Newsweek and The Washington Post, will honor civic volunteerism and charitable giving by automobile dealers, and will feature legendary football coach Don Shula as keynote speaker.
