Road signs could be gone by 2030, futurists say
Road signs are among the everyday objects that could be relics by 2030, says the Bethesda-based World Future Society.
The Societys Patrick Tucker told WTOP Radio that road signs are becoming less useful because they provide only one-way communication, while systems like GPS and EZPass are more interactive.
Tucker said roadside sensors that communicate with cars could replace road signs.
