Green is gaining in car color popularity
When it comes to car colors, it looks as if green may become the new black or the new white or silver, which have been the top colors for years.
Global chemical company BASF spends a lot of time studying trends in car colors. Its not the simple matter it might appear. With new technologies, new models and new mobility concepts, a shift in values is on the horizon, says Mark Gutjahr, BASFs head of design Europe. In this context, green as the color of growth and a new beginning is playing a key role.
Color preferences vary by region. The design language in Europe is characterized by soberness and quality, says a statement from BASF, and wouldnt you know it? clarity and directness characterize the colors in North America. Green-yellow is also gaining in popularity on this side of the pond.Download Bulletin PDF
