Stevens Point (Wisc.) Honda has found a new twist to marketing on its Facebook page. Every few days, it posts a word or phrase that customers can use to receive a service that day, such as a free oil change.

On March 4, the page read, First 4 people to stop in today and tell our Service Department Conch Shell will get Free Oil Change. Underneath was a photo of a huge conch shell on a beach. What could be more appealing to snowbound Midwesterners? Its a clever way to attract people to the dealerships Facebook page. A promotion on another day was for 10 percent off any service.

The dealership said in a statement that it regularly connects with its Facebook friends by offering exclusive dealers that only visitors to their page will know about, reports Edmunds.com.
