DC DMV Opens Additional Appointments as Mayor Extends Health Emergency

Earlier this month, District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser extended the city’s public health emergency through May 20. Given that the city will remain in Phase 2 of the re-opening plan for at least the near future, the DC DMV has opened additional service appointments, designed to help reduce the backlog of requests that has accumulated over the past year.

According to the DC DMV, many additional appointments for the public are added at 3 p.m. each Tuesday, with more slots opening on a rolling basis through the rest of the week.

WANADA continues to encourage dealers to utilize the DC DMV’s Online Dealer Services portal wherever possible. In addition, the Southwest Service Center located at 95 M Street SW is still processing dealer/runner same-day title and vehicle registrations, with a limit of three transactions per day. If you have any questions about the DMV’s ongoing dealer services, please email the department at dcdmvdealerinfo@dc.gov.
