Customer satisfaction with their new vehicles rose 1.2 percent to a score of 82 out of 100 on the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). Volvo tied Lexus for best luxury automaker, and Subaru took over the lead in the mass market.
“Car owners are often highly satisfied – they’ve kicked the tires enough times that they’re happy with their decision when they buy,” said David Van Amburg, managing director at ACSI. But he added that proposed tariffs for vehicles using foreign parts raise the threat of higher prices, which could affect customer satisfaction in the next year.
