CARtalks on autonomous and connected driving, highway funding
Itês not just about the horsepower, itês about how weêre integrating all this incredible technology, said Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) in introducing the CARtalks symposium at The Washington Auto Show (WAS) first Public Policy Day, January 21.
The symposium, from a number of authoritative automotive observers covering a variety of timely topics, took place in the historic Caucus Room in the House Cannon Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington.
Remembering a meeting at Chrysler headquarters in 2009 when then-CEO Bob Nardelli said he might have to liquidate the company without government loans, Peters said. Iêve seen dramatic resilience in the auto industry, said Peters, with vehicle sales back on track, and Iêm confident that Americaês best days are ahead.Download Bulletin PDF
