 For
his longtime success as a major dealer operator at the helm of Ourisman of
Virginia as well as numerous leadership roles in his industry and support of
his community, Danny Korengold was one of a select group nationwide to be
recognized with the prestigious Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA).
The award was presented at the opening session of the 2006 NADA Convention
in Orlando, Florida.
A
member of WANADA’s Board of Directors and the boards of several
philanthropic organizations, including the Washington Performing Arts
Society which he currently chairs, Danny is well known in Washington circles
for generous contributions of his leadership talents and resources.
TMQDA, sponsored by TIME and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, annually
honors US dealers who have distinguished themselves in the industry as top
retailers and leaders no less than valued citizens in their communities.
This was the 37th annual ceremony of the TMQDA. The award being first
bestowed in 1969.
Besides Danny, who was nominated for the TMQDA by WANADA, mega dealer Jerry
Fader, who has stores in the Metropolitan Washington area, also was
recognized as the Maryland Automobile Dealers Association TMQDA nominee.
